What are Platforms?

Through ideas, people, and music, the Sunday Platform meetings inspire a sense of purpose and community. These Sunday morning meetings are an opportunity to pause in our ordinary daily activities and meet with people in the community to reflect on the direction and challenges of our lives.

Platform meetings feature an address given by an Ethical Culture Leader, member, or guest speaker. Platform addresses cover a wide range of topics. Members and guests have an opportunity to voice their reflections on the address. Platform meetings include music selected from a wide range of traditions. A time for personal announcements is also reserved during platform meetings.

Guests are encouraged to attend our Platform Meetings. While casual attire is the norm at ESA platform meetings, anything from T-shirts and jeans to one’s “Sunday best” is acceptable. Our meetings, which include Discussions and Colloquys in addition to the Platform format, are held on every Sunday at 5604 Manor Road.  See the Contact ESA page for directions. Coffee is served at 10:00 a.m., with the Meeting starting at 10:30 a.m. and ending at noon. We also have a pot luck after the meeting on the third Sunday of the month.
